Christopher Robin's House

Though Owl claims otherwise, Christopher Robin is the only one in the Hundred Acre Woods who can read. Thus, he is the keeper of the stories; the original stories were told to him.

Some information about CHRISTOPHER ROBIN

Description: Wheat-blond hair, brown eyes, very fair and slender. Hair fairly long, in page-boy cut. Dresses appropriately for the weather.

General Traits: Master of the Forest. Has the best qualities of its other residents: intelligence, literacy, cleverness, helpfulness, modesty, humor, compassion, diplomacy, sensitivity, courage, physical and organizational competence. The yardstick against which the others are measured, and (in another sense) the pivot on which the stories turn (if not always the motivator of the action). Acts in loco parentis (in the place of a parent) to the animals. Generally aware of his limitations and willing to admit them.

Special Traits: Lives "behind a green door" in a tree "at the very top of the Forest". Rivaled only by Pooh and (once) Tigger as the Forest's champion tree climber. The only Forest resident with Genuine Education, which eventually means he must leave his friends behind. Likes doing Nothing best, but foresees a time when "they" won't let him do it nearly as much.

Famous lines: "Silly old Bear!" "You're the best bear in all the world." "Pooh, whatever happens, you will understand, won't you?"
